Sports Massage Therapy

Sports massage is manual manipulations of the soft-tissues, which utilises powerful techniques designed to produce specific responses in the athlete, and ultimately improve performance.

Over the years massage has developed in many different directions, however sports massage holds a unique position as it has a fundamentally different approach from all other forms of therapy.

It’s developed to help improve sports performance and is seen as an essential part of sports training, preparation, recovery and injury management. With regular treatment, competitors are more able to maintain high levels of performance with reduced risk of getting injured.

However don’t be fooled by the name “Sports Massage”.  Manual manipulation of the soft-tissues can be very beneficial for everyone.  Whether you’re a mum or dad and suffering with aches and pains from lifting and carrying the children all day, or you're sitting at a computer for hours on end for work and feeling stiff, or simply you have a physically demanding job, you can still feel the same benefits of regular massage.
